Great blog and topic. It is really ridiculous to only have a week or two vacation when ALL research shows that people are MORE productive when rested and relaxed. Time away from home and office allows the necessary time for our brains to rejunivate and refresh, and thus to allow new ideas and thinking to evolve and enter our tight little minds. It is crazy how North Americans (Canadians only seem more relaxed) work to the exclusion of all else as though we are really accomplishing something other than wasting time looking busy while we wait for our all too short vacation……and even then many times do not take time off but spend our week working around our homes to catch up on all the chores we didn’t have time to finish during the past year. Relax America, its time to play.
